Special gift for Google Cricket Blogging Competition participation

Glad that Google is giving some special gift for participation? My best guess would be a T-shirt with a logo of Google or iGoogle (is Google personalized portal formerly known as Google Homepage a nice selection of modules, and Google trademark simplicity which makes it easy to use for anyone)

Does any one else guessing some thing better than T-shirts?

Dear blogger,

Thank you very much for submitting your entry to the Google Cricket Blogging Competition. Though this is the first event of its kind for Google in India, the response we have received from across the country has been overwhelming.

Unfortunately we had to chose only ONE winner amongst all the great blogs we received, it was not an easy task. Though every blog is carving out a niche for itself in blogosphere, yours was not selected as the winner, this time.

Now that the Cricket World Cup of 2007 has come to end, we can look back at a very eventful six weeks that were a true Blogger’s delight. Allowing for citizen journalists to express their views to a global audience and to engage in passionate discussions with their readers. This in turn would inspire many more users to join the Indian blogosphere and contribute to its rich content. Thanks to you.

Our panel of judges, comprised of Krish Srikkanth, a former captain of India and a member of the World Cup winning squad of 1983, collaborated with prominent bloggerJai Arjun Singh ( ) and blog writer Amit Verma ( Together, they evaluated entries and have now come up with a winning blog. The winner will be announced shortly in the media.

Thank you once again for being part of this contest. We would like to send you a special gift for your participation. Please reply to this email with your complete postal address (it has to be in India). We hope that you have enjoyed showcasing your blogging talent. Good luck with all your future blogging endeavours.
