Steve Winter of USA won prestigious 2008 Wildlife photographer of the year award. It took him 10 months to get this photo of snow leopard. A winter in Ladakh’s national park India where snow leopards with waterproof outer fur, dense woolly under-fur and large nasal cavities that warm the air as they breathe can tolerate temperature ranges of -40°C and 40°C.
