This is a bit confusing- you state free membership + $15 gift card, but then in the details

    That’s not exactly free..

A Sams Club Member ship is not free. Even for students.

The cost is $40 dollars, just like everyone else, the only difference is that college students get a $15 dollar gift card at sign up and every year that they renew they get the same, So the breakdown cost is $25 for a yearly membership. If yo split that with a dorm mate, roommate, or family member living with you, then it comes out to $12.50 per person with the two cards you are given.

And those are the facts, I am a Sams Club Employee

  3. Time to update this advertising in 2011. The Sam’s ad still claims to be free but costs $40 with $15 gift card. The stores will give the same information.
