> On average IT worker made $78,035 last year, a 4.6% increase from 2007
> Security analysts got highest salary increases, a 8.4% increase
> Software Engineers got 7% raise in 2008
> Application developers got 6.6%
> System developers got a pay cut in 2008, with the average salary dropping 1.3%
> Salaries by Position in 2008 – IT Managers ($111,998),Software engineers ($90,031), Database administrators ($89,742), System developers($87,211), Security analysts($86,778), Application developers($84,672) and network engineers ( $72,496)
