Google’s Moderator started a new user forum site – “Tip Jar” that collects tips from people and allows them to vote so that they become popular and raise its rank and visibility in the site. Currently these categories are available – Finance, Eco, Health, Tech, Shopping, Kids & Family, Cars & Transit, Food, Vacation, At Home, At Work.
It is simple “tip” and votes but a discussion on tip may help spawn multiple tips or more details I feel.
Some of the good ones that include –
> Eco – LCD monitors use less electricity and generates less heat than CRT monitors.
> Finance – Pay bills online to avoid postage. Online bill pay is the wonderful thing happened in finance to keep track of where money is going to.
> Turn off your computer at night.
> This is funny – “Go to the grocery store with your belly full. You won’t buy too many things because you just ain’t hungry.”
> “Bring your lunch to work once or twice a week instead of buying it.”
Overall “tip jar” is a good platform and more over when you start reading tips you can bookmark sites that tips come from like – Zenhabits.net, ChooseToSave.org etc.
