For some time US immigration authorities are investigating into H1-B visa fraud. During those investigations they rounded off companies – Visions Systems Group and subsequent arrest of 11 in different states.
Computer World reports the reason for starting this fraud –
“in January of 2009, the total number of workers employed in the information technology occupation under the H-1B program substantially exceeded the 241,000 unemployed U.S. citizen workers within the same occupation.”
The whole episode is opening a can of worms about the H1-B visa program itself. The verdict in Visions Systems Group is going to decide the fate of H1-B visa program.
