Kochi Tuskers Avenge Defeat Thrash Delhi By 7 Wickets

It was a sweat revenge for Kochi Tusters, who were thrashed by Delhi Daredevils, just couple of days back on their home turf. On winning the toss, the Tusker`s skipper Mahela Jayawardane chose to put Virendra Sehwag`s Delhi Daredevils and restrict them to score 140 for six. Thus, Delhi Daredevils` play-off hopes suffered a jolt as Kochi Tuskers Kerala snapped their three-match losing streak by thrashing the hosts by seven wickets in their Indian Premier League match here Sunday. Daredevils’ middle-order let them down yet again as the hosts just about managed to score a modest 140 for six after being invited to bat at the Feroze Shah Kotla ground.

In reply, Tuskers overhauled the target in just 15 overs with Parthiv Patel scoring an unbeaten 37, thus avenging their defeat at the hands of the same team on Saturday.
With this win Kochi, who were languishing at ninth place in the points table, have now moved up to sixth, while Delhi slipped to eighth. But, Devils` skipper Sehwag looked optimistic of making it to play off matches. For this, they have to win all the rest of five matches. Can that happen? Will Sehwag show consistency and fire from all cylinders against their rivals?

Nothing is impossible, if you have determination. That`s what Sehwag claims to possess as in a post-match interview he said, “when Hyderabad`s Deccan Chargers could win their last five matches in a row to qualify for play off in the last edition of IPL, why not Delhi? Agood argument, but can Sehwag and his men do it?
